Lindsay Lohan?is so close to being a free woman! Barring any last minute setbacks, the "Mean Girls" starlet is less than 24 hours away from being released from any formal probation for the first time in over four years.

"When she arrives in court tomorrow, she will have completed all of her obligations," the actress' rep, Steve Honig, tells E! News.

Lohan has completed her 14 days of morgue duty and her five therapy sessions which permanently stays her jail sentence of 150 days. If all goes according to plan, Judge Stephanie Sautner will end her 2007 DUI case and switch her to informal probation for her 2011 shoplifting?conviction.

"Our lawyers still need to review the probation report to determine whether or not to recommend that her probation be modified to informal probation," L.A. City Attorney's office spokesman Frank Mateljan tells us.

Lohan will be on informal probation until May 2014, and to get off she must obey all laws and not get in any trouble for the next 2 1/2 years. The plus side of this? Unlike formal probation, informal probation won't require Lohan to report to a probation officer or a judge.

"After March 29, all you have to do is obey all laws, stay out of trouble and move on with your life," Judge Stephanie Sautner said during last month's hearing. "Good luck."

"Lindsay is not celebrating," her rep says. "But rather ending one chapter and starting the next. She is very eager to get back on set and dive into her next few projects."

Honig says the actress "has been a champ and she is very eager to put all of this behind her."

But the Shift attained an astounding 8,839 on the Extreme preset in Futuremark 3DMark 11 (compared with the Mach V?s 6,505) and an unreal 232fps on Lost Planet 2 at 1,920 by 1,080 and maxed-out detail settings (the Mach V managed ?only? 168fps).

Taliban bomber kills 5 rival militants in Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) ? A Taliban suicide bomber attacked the headquarters of a rival group Friday in northwest Pakistan, killing at least five fighters in the second such bombing this month, militants and a government official said.

Clashes among insurgents are common along the Afghan border, where tribal loyalties hold sway and the government has little or no control. The militants are often competing over proceeds from smuggling, kidnapping and drug production.

Over the last year, the Pakistani Taliban and Lashkar-e-Islam have been battling for control of the Tirah Valley, a remote part of the Khyber tribal region where Friday's attack occurred. The two bombings this month indicate an escalation of that fight.

Pakistani security forces also have been battling the militants in Tirah, who threaten the nearby city of Peshawar.

The bombing killed at least five members of Lashkar-e-Islam, said Bakhtiyar Khan, a government administrator in Khyber.

Hazrat Omar, a spokesman for the group, told The Associated Press by telephone from an undisclosed location that six fighters and two passers-by died.

Mohammed Afridi, a Pakistani Taliban spokesman in Khyber, claimed responsibility for the attack in another phone call with the AP.

A Taliban suicide bomber carried out a similar attack on Lashkar-e-Islam's headquarters on March 2, killing 23 militants. The Taliban said at the time that the bombing was in revenge for an attack last month that killed members of the group.

The Pakistani Taliban is one of Pakistan's deadliest militant groups, and has links to al-Qaida and insurgents fighting across the border in Afghanistan. Its commanders are based in the border region, but the group has allied networks throughout the country.

Security forces have launched offensives in many border regions over the last four years, losing hundreds of men and killing thousands of alleged militants. But attacks still occur regularly in the country.

A bomb hidden inside a radio exploded on a military base in northwest Pakistan on Thursday, killing a paramilitary soldier and his 10-year-old son as they were listening to the Asia Cup cricket final between Pakistan and Bangladesh, intelligence officials said.

Three other children were wounded in the attack at a base in Wana, the main town in the South Waziristan tribal area, a key Pakistani Taliban stronghold that was targeted in a large military offensive in 2009, the officials said Friday, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media

Authorities are investigating how the bomb was planted in the radio.

Anecdotal suspicions that the new iPad operated at a noticeably higher temperature than the iPad 2 have been backed up now that someone has pointed an infrared camera at the thing to see what's up. After running GLBenchmark for five minutes, the new iPad ended up being much hotter than the iPad 2 - 33.6 degrees Clesius versus 28.3 degrees Celesius.

An ultra-fast camera uses scattered laser light to create images of hidden objects, which could have military and industrial clean-up applications

The ability to see objects hidden behind walls could be invaluable in dangerous or inaccessible locations, such as inside machinery with moving parts, or in highly contaminated areas. Now scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge have found a way to do just that.

They fire a pulse of laser light at a wall on the far side of the hidden scene, and record the time at which the scattered light reaches a camera. Photons bounce off the wall onto the hidden object and back to the wall, scattering each time, before a small fraction eventually reaches the camera, each at a slightly different time. It's this time resolution that provides the key to revealing the hidden geometry. The position of the 50-femtosecond (that's 50 quadrillionths of a second) laser pulse is also changed 60 times, to gain multiple perspectives on the hidden scene.

"We are all familiar with sound echoes, but we can also exploit echoes of light," says Ramesh Raskar, head of the Camera Culture Research Group at the MIT Media Lab which carried out the study.

A normal camera can only see objects that are right in front of it. Light that reaches the sensor from beyond the direct line of sight is too diffuse to convey useful information about the hidden scene, having been scattered by multiple reflections. The new set-up, described today in Nature Communications¹, overcomes this problem by capturing ultra-fast time-of-flight information ? that is, how long each photon has taken to reach the camera. This information is then decoded by a reconstruction algorithm concieved by team member Andreas Velten.

Exploiting scatter
Most ultra-fast imaging technologies aim to mitigate the effects of scattered light, focusing instead on just the first photons to reach the sensor. The difference here, says Raskar, "is that we actually exploit the scattered light".

The camera really earns its ultra-fast label. It can record images every 2 picoseconds, the time it takes light to travel just 0.6 mm. So it can record the distance travelled by each photon with sub-millimetre precision.

One of the big technical challenges was teasing apart the information from photons that have travelled the same distance, and reached the camera at the same position, after hitting different parts of the hidden scene.

The computer overcomes this complication by comparing images generated from different laser positions, allowing likely positions for the object to be estimated. Whereas photons that have hit different parts of the hidden scene from one laser position may be the same, they will have a different total distance for another laser spot. "The overall mathematical technique," explains Raskar, "is similar to the computational tomography that is used in X-ray CAT-scans."

At present, the whole process takes several minutes, but researchers hope that in the future, it will be reduced to less than 10 seconds.

Prepares necessary state filings within statutory limits.

Manages the litigation process; ensures timely and cost effective claims resolution.

Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.

Uses appropriate cost containment techniques including strategic vendor partnerships to reduce overall cost of claims for our clients.

Manages claim recoveries, including but not limited to subrogation, Second Injury Fund recoveries and Social Security offsets.

Reports claims to the excess carrier; responds to requests of directions in a professional and timely manner.

Communicates claim activity and processing with the ill or injured party and the client; maintains professional client relationships.

Ensures claim files are properly documented and claims coding is correct.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing:

Experience
Four (4) years of claims management experience required. BS/BA degree may substitute for two (2) years of required experience.
