We are looking for 1st class HR Generalist to join our evolving Gap European HR team who has best practice and commerciality at the heart of what they do.
This is a truly dynamic and exciting generalist opportunity,?working alonside Regional Directors, District Managers and Store teams. You will act?as an HR consultant accountable for the inplementation of a commercial HR Strategy at Regional level covering both High Street and Outlet business models requiring full national travel. This is a generalist position ideally suited to candidates with excellent employee relations experience, a passion for succession planning and a desire to work in a commercial HR environment.???
To be successful in this role, you will have previous HR Managerial experience preferably in a Retail Field environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communications skills enabling them to build credible business partnerships with their Regional Directors and their store teams. This job is varied and the individual will enjoy a fast paced, complex environment with a high results orientated ethic and a passion for detail. What will your primary responsibilities be in the role of HR Manager??
?1. Resourcing and Retention:-Ensure detailed manpower and succession plans exist in all areas of the Region and that there is a strong talent bench in the market.
-Ensure there is a clear vision in the Region of what a quality external candidate profile is embedding appropriate plans to raise and improve the standards of people through resourcing opportunities.
-Create and implement strategies for retention of employees at all levels
-Drive performance management on a regional basis
2. Reward and Recognition:
-Own the Focal (appraisal) process for Sales Associates, Store Management, Visual teams and District Management
-Ensure effective salary management using the principles of pay for performance
3. Learning & Development:
-Partner with L&D managers to embed all existing and new L&D initiatives
-Identify training needs across the region and partner with Learning and Development Managers to deliver solutions
-Provide direct training in areas of specialist expertise
4. Employee Relations:
- Perform the role of ER consultant to Regional teams, managing the grievance and disciplinary procedure, where necessary handling complex ER cases
-Partners with HR functions and ER Specialist to ensure appropriate strategies and policies are developed and implemented effectively in the field
-Develop a climate, which motivates Gap people and delivers the highest standards of employee relations.
-Reviews sickness and absence levels by Store / District / Region providing solutions on an individual, District, Regional level to achieve the overall business target
-To provide solutions on an individual / Store / District and Regional and ideas to continually manage to achieve finance targets.
-Ensure legal compliance and provide training and education to ensure consistent implementation and professional standards?
- Project development ? manages and leads a number of key HR projects?
What you will you need to be successful in the role?
? Educated up to Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent)
? Ideally be fully CIPD qualified
? Have a successful track record at a HR Manager level and within a generalist capacity
??Commercial experience ? ideally working within Retail or fast moving consumer goods.
? Coaching, facilitation, & group training skills
? Current knowledge of employment legislation
? Basic project management skills
??Passion for developing people and organizations
? Is results focused and commercially minded ? keen to understand how the business (sales, market share, profits)

Other Requirements;? this position?is based in London but will requure 2 to 3 days a week within stores country wide.
